In-person Examinations and Consultations
Dedicated in-person time with our veterinarians for evaluation of your pet.
Includes evaluation, physical examination, and discussion of the assessment and plan for your pet, as well as all follow-up communication for two months thereafter.
Cost:
- Dogs and cats: $125, or free with Wellness First Membership
- Birds: $175, or free with Wellness First Membership
- Small mammals: $165, or free with Wellness First Membership
Any follow-up appointments within 14 days of the original appointment cost $105, or free with Wellness First Membership.
Triage Consultation
Not sure if your pet’s issue warrants a visit? Or if the issue is urgent or can wait? Speak with one of our veterinarians with a triage consultation. You can speak to one of our veterinarians via phone, email, or chat to help you decide.
Cost: $30, or free with Wellness First Membership (note: the cost of the consultation is separate from and additional to any appointment or other fees)
Phone Consultation
Our veterinarians are always happy to speak with you about your pet and provide guidance and assistance whenever we can.
Cost: $30 per 10 minutes, or free with Wellness First Membership
- Note: If you would like to schedule the phone call for a specific time, the cost is $75 for up to 30 minutes.
- All phone calls are complimentary for two months following your pet’s in-person examination and consultation or procedure.
Email and Text Consultation
Our veterinarians are always happy to email or text with you about your pet and provide guidance and assistance whenever we can.
Cost: Variable based on the complexity of the issue discussed, and the time required to research and reply. These are determined by the veterinary team following the communication. Always free with Wellness First Membership.
- Consultations of low complexity: $10. These are concerns that do warrant a veterinarian’s attention and expertise, but can typically be addressed in 5 minutes or less. Examples include questions about whether a pet’s condition warrants scheduling an appointment, or a question about a medication that was prescribed for the pet.
- Consultations of moderate complexity: $40. These are concerns that our veterinarians can typically address in 5-15 minutes (between research, chart review, and communication). Examples include updates on a pet’s health condition, discussions about the indications and/or risks of an intervention or medication, questions about diet, etc.
- Consultations of advanced complexity: $75. These are concerns that our veterinarians can typically address in 15-30 minutes (between research, chart review, and communication). Examples include discussions about goals of care, a pet’s prognosis, the development of a detailed behavioral or diet plan, etc.
All emails and texts are complimentary for two months following your pet’s in-person examination and consultation.
